Lynch Farm public consultations

As you may already know we are working hard on developing our plans for Lynch Farm and we would love you to be involved!

Come along to one of our public consultation events in the afternoon or evening of Thursday 19th September in Ferry Meadows. Hear about our current progress and help us develop our long term plans for the site, sharing your thoughts and asking any questions.

The consultation sessions are being held in The Sett classroom, near the main toilet block in Ferry Meadows. Each session is just one hour long and will include a short introductory talk, some interactive consultation activities and the chance to ask questions. Just come along to an afternoon session or book your place at an evening session, so we know how many people to expect.

We host a gentle walk around Ferry Meadows or the wider Nene Park twice a month on Mondays and Wednesdays 10.30am-12pm. Come along and join one of our Nene Park staff or volunteers. It's free to come along and there's no need to book.

Badger Play is having some essential maintenance work this week and so will be closed to the public. It should be open again for play on Saturday 14th September.

Training - Level 2 certificate in assisting forest school

This course covers four units of study at Level 2 and looks in more depth at practical skills, using the woodland as a sustainable resource and the theoretical side of planning for learning and play at Forest School. This course is designed for those wanting to assist a Level 3 Forest School Leader.

Holiday Trail

Complete a trail around Ferry Meadows, answer the questions and claim a prize at the end! On every day during the half term school holidays 9am-3pm.
Lake and River Boat Trips

This 45 minute tranquil trip takes you across Overton Lake and onto the River Nene on our electrically-powered passenger boat. The pre-bookable trips will depart on weekends and most days during October Half term from the Visitor Centre Jetty.
Community volunteering on Ham Mere

Ham Mere is wetland area within Ferry Meadows which has become overgrown with willow and other scrub. We are holding community volunteering sessions on Saturdays in September and early October to help us retore this part of the Park. Come and join us!

Water Pay & Play Activities

At Nene Outdoors, we run a ‘Pay and Play’ scheme, providing visitors of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to enjoy the watersports we have on offer. Book for half hour sessions on line or for one hour, book two consecutive time slots, hire our equipment and use our facilities.

Play areas

Nene Park is a great place to play. Games on the meadows, adventures in the woodlands and three great play areas within Ferry Meadows to cater for all ages.
Peterborough Celebrates Festival

Taking place in Ferry Meadows across the weekend of 18th-19th May, the Peterborough Celebrates Festival is a free to attend, family-friendly festival that will bring communities together and celebrate everything we love about our fantastic city.
