How fast can you reach the top?

Climbing is one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK! Our mobile climbing wall will be up regularly during school holidays for visitors age 4+ to come along and have a go.

Cost: £12 per person

Sessions are throughout the day and places must be booked in advance. Sessions are 45 minutes long.

Did you know our climbing walls are also available to hire?

Our two mobile climbing walls are also available to hire for your special event. Standard hire rate is £130 per hour with a minimum 3 hour booking, including a qualified instructor. For enquiries, please contact us on 01733 234193 or email the team at [email protected].

Growing our family groups at Ferry Meadows

We're delighted to share that our popular monthly family groups are growing in May, and relocating to the dedicated Forest School site at Lynch Farm in Ferry Meadows. Moving our family groups to Lynch Farm will give even more local children the space to learn through exploring, play and hands-on experiences in the great outdoors, whilst most importantly, having lots of fun!

Meeting Magical Mammals

Join a ranger for a short walk discovering the small mammals that live in the Park. We will hopefully get to see voles, mice and shrews as well as talk about their habitat, diet and identifying features.

There are lots of different walks and trails of different lengths to discover across Nene Park.
Water Pay & Play Activities

At Nene Outdoors, we run a ‘Pay and Play’ scheme, providing visitors of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to enjoy the watersports we have on offer. Book for half hour sessions on line or for one hour, book two consecutive time slots, hire our equipment and use our facilities.
Cycle

Cycling is a great way to explore the Park with miles of traffic free cycling paths, lakeside trails and woodland routes.
Take a boat trip

Enjoy a relaxing boat trip around Overton Lake on 'Wyndham', our new electrically powered passenger boat, and discover more about our new passenger cruises and private hire services.
Play areas

Nene Park is a great place to play. Games on the meadows, adventures in the woodlands and three great play areas within Ferry Meadows to cater for all ages.
Ride the Ferry Meadows Railway

All aboard the Ferry Meadows Railway! Sit back and enjoy the ride as you pass through meadows while taking in views of Overton and Lynch Lake.
Longthorpe Tower

Visit the early 14th-century fortified tower at Longthorpe, which has been named as one of the 100 most important historic sites in Britain due to its impressive set of vivid mid-14th-century wall paintings.
Peterborough Sculpture Collection

Peterborough Sculpture Collection is an exciting and significant collection of artworks which are on permanent public display across the City with many at Thorpe Meadows or Ferry Meadows.
