This year Nene Park Trust are taking part in the TCS London Marathon. We have two charity places and asked our local community to take on the challenge whilst raising money to support their Park.

We are thrilled to introduce Anne and Amy as our runners!

These two are part of the local running group 'Yaxley Runners' and have decided to take this on as a personal challenge but also to give something back to a Park they love:

Anne says:

"We are all so used to having this on our doorstep, and taking it for granted, but many people aren't aware that it's all run by a charitable trust.  So, I'm really excited to be able to do my bit, to help Nene Park Trust do so much for so many."

Amy says:

"Having grown up in Peterborough I have always visited Ferry Meadows from an early age and now as a parent a visit to the park to watch the wildlife or let my daughter play on the parks is paramount to my sanity!! I take advantage of the running routes around the park and find it a peaceful place to exercise. I also love the parkrun community who meet on a Saturday."

We hope you will join us in supporting Amy and Anne as they take on this huge challenge and begin training. You will be able to find out how they are getting on by visiting our website and our social media platforms, following the hashtag #RunningForNenePark.

To show your support you can donate on this page or click through to their individual pages to the right of this page.

Thank you Amy and Anne for doing this, we are with you every step of the way and can't wait to see you do an amazing job!
