Archery

The sport of archery requires precision, control, focus and determination!

Learn a new skill this year at regular Pay and Play Archery events! On selected days during the school holidays, archery sessions will run throughout the day, offering multiple time slots which can be booked on line or on site.

The sessions will be held on Oak Meadow (close to Nene Outdoors), costing £12 per person. Participants must be 8 years and over.

The sessions are hosted by fully trained members of the Nene Outdoors team.

Music in the Park: Salvation Army Brass Band

Enjoy music in the Park on Sunday 23 June with the Salvation Army Brass Band. Simply come along to the Visitor Centre in Ferry Meadows, relax and enjoy!

Meeting Magical Mammals

Join a ranger for a short walk discovering the small mammals that live in the Park. We will hopefully get to see voles, mice and shrews as well as talk about their habitat, diet and identifying features.

There are lots of different walks and trails of different lengths to discover across Nene Park.
Water Pay & Play Activities

At Nene Outdoors, we run a ‘Pay and Play’ scheme, providing visitors of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to enjoy the watersports we have on offer. Book for half hour sessions on line or for one hour, book two consecutive time slots, hire our equipment and use our facilities.
Cycle

Cycling is a great way to explore the Park with miles of traffic free cycling paths, lakeside trails and woodland routes.
Take a boat trip

Enjoy a relaxing boat trip around Overton Lake on 'Wyndham', our new electrically powered passenger boat, and discover more about our new passenger cruises and private hire services.
Play areas

Nene Park is a great place to play. Games on the meadows, adventures in the woodlands and three great play areas within Ferry Meadows to cater for all ages.
Ride the Ferry Meadows Railway

All aboard the Ferry Meadows Railway! Sit back and enjoy the ride as you pass through meadows while taking in views of Overton and Lynch Lake.
Longthorpe Tower

Visit the early 14th-century fortified tower at Longthorpe, which has been named as one of the 100 most important historic sites in Britain due to its impressive set of vivid mid-14th-century wall paintings.
Peterborough Sculpture Collection

Peterborough Sculpture Collection is an exciting and significant collection of artworks which are on permanent public display across the City with many at Thorpe Meadows or Ferry Meadows.

Our two mobile climbing walls are regularly up at Nene Outdoors and are also available to hire for your own event!
