The Park Explorer Challenge is back this summer! Aimed at younger children and their families, a new Park Explorer Challenge will be shared each Monday throughout the summer holiday, starting on 26th July.

Activities will be set across Nene Park, and will include puzzles, quizzes and spotter games.

Download the challenge chart and update your progress each week, using the downloadable stickers or draw your own! At the end of the summer, bring your completed chart into the Visitor Centre & Gift Shop at Ferry Meadows to collect your Park Explorer badge!

Week 1 Park Explorer Challenge - 26 July

The first Park Explorer Challenge is a 3km walk around the Rural Estate near Castor. The paths are mainly grass tracks and there are some kissing gates so this walk is not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs. Wear a pair of comfortable trainers or walking boots and long trousers are recommended as the grass can get quite long and there may be stinging nettles in places! You may also encounter sheep and cows so please keep dogs on a lead. We hope you enjoy your adventure!

Week 2 Park Explorer Challenge - 2 August

You might not be able to see animals all of the time in the Park, but they do leave signs behind to let us know they have been here. How many of these signs can you find between the start of Lynch Plantation by Nene Valley Railway Station and Swallow Bridge? The Ferry Meadows map will help you find these locations.
