Following the success of our community litter pick in June as part of the Keep Britain Tidy Great British Spring Clean, we are holding four more community litter picking events over the summer holidays that we'd love you to come and join in with.

The Nene Park community litter picking dates are suitable for all the family to take part in and are running on:

  • Monday 26 July 9-11am
  • Monday 9 August 9-11am
  • Monday 23 August 9-11am
  • Tuesday 31 August 9-11am

Come and help us keep the Park tidy for everyone to enjoy this summer. Register any time between 9am and 11am outside the Visitor Centre in Ferry Meadows, where you can collect a litter picker and bin bags and be given a suggested area of the Park to cover. Return with your filled bag so we can measure the amount of litter collected. If you have your own litter picker feel free to bring it along too.

The first of the litter picking events falls within #LoveParksWeek (23 July – 1 August), which this year has the focus of #LoveParks #RespectParks #ProtectParks. Nene Park Trust staff and volunteers look forward to welcoming you to these litter picking events and let’s hope that by working together to love and respect the Park we can all enjoy a cleaner, greener, litter-free environment.
